My puppy really likes this, moreso than the bigger “kong-style” versions because it’s shallow and easier for her to get to the frozen yumminess. I like that I can use something a little more liquidy because it lies flat on the floor and doesn’t dump everywhere like the other stuffable toys. I fill it with fruit-flavored baby food and freeze it for my teething puppy and she gets so excited when I pull it out for her. She doesn’t really teeth on the toy itself and abandons it once she has licked out all the yumminess, but it seems very sturdy like it would also be a good frozen teething toy itself for puppies who wanted to chew it.

These are by far the best freezing treat stuffing toys ever invented. After ordering the first 2 and seeing how great they worked, I ordered 2 more, to have 2 in rotation at all times. They sit level in the freezer (and stack nicely) and also sit level while being chewed, which means there's little to no mess on the floor as they're being eaten, as opposed to Kong or others who lay sideways and get saliva and wet treat material onto whatever surface they're dragged onto. Or if the dog leaves them for whatever reason, they don't leak out and make a mess. They are super sturdy and after like 25 uses so far, they don't have a single chunk out of the rubber, or barely a scratch, yet they're a really nice, heavy rubberized material very similar to the Kong rubber feel. I think it's the design that makes all the difference. Another great thing is that hole is larger and shaped with different angles, which means it pretty much eliminates the likelihood of creating a dangerous suction of the tongue (like the smaller circular holes in other toys can) at any point during the chewing/eating process. The opening is wide and has a snowflake/star shape to make it harder for them to get to the contents, and the inside is shaped kind of like a cup so it holds a fair amount but creates a challenge for the dog while keeping their interest. I find Kongs are harder to fill and freeze (they have to be propped up and a straw must be inserted to avoid tongue injury from the vacuum created) and also some dogs lose interest halfway through since it's harder to get to the contents in the bottom when frozen, then they leave it somewhere to defrost on the floor. The best part is these Chilly Penguins keep the dogs busy the LONGEST of any treat toy I've ever tried. And they are washable in the dishwasher. What a great invention!
