These are nade of a different material than they were in the past. They are heavier, thicker and not as rubbery. This causes them to not fly as well. The past material allowed the flyer to fly great while still holding up well. We loved the past version. I purchased two because of that. We will see if I can make this one fly better as we continue to play with the dog.
I have purchase a 5 of these in a span of 6 years... my Aussie loves frisbee. I purchased one as a gift for my siters dog less than a year ago, and it looked and felt like the one I had for about 2 years... well it finally gave through wear and tear. This new one is made different, the rubber feels bouncier and honestly my dog likes it less. I can tell because he will pick up another toy after about 15 mins... My dog LOVES frisbee he'd play all day if he could. Not sure what changed, but something has.

I've tried almost all the flying discs available and this one is by "far" the best!....extremely durable, for those dogs that love to chew and destroy their toys! My Cattle Dog, Arlo enjoys his daily exercise leaping to catch his K9 Flyer!
My dog Stuart loves his orange flyer. He plays pretty rough but so far it doesn’t look like it. He has yet to puncture it. He likes to bring it to me and play tug of war. I’m always scared he’s going to tear it but so far nothing. I haven’t put it in the dishwasher but I do wash it in hot water a bit of dawn dish soap and a sponge. It still looks brand new. It’s brought him a lot of joy and it’s become a favorite toy.
