The order still has not arrived
We have a 55 lb Black lab that destroys all of her toys, always. We were super hopeful for this and thought maybe it’d be fine since it felt durable, way more so than other toys for dogs. We bought it at PetCo for $40. Less than 15 minutes after she got it, one of the squeakers in the arms got ripped her and the back seem is destroyed. Super disappointed. On to the next tough dog toy brand :(
Got this toy for $40 at petco. Have a 90lb lab/doberman/shepherd mix. In under 10 minutes it was compromised. Only gave it 1/5 paws since it’s rated as the toughest toy and didn’t last.
This is a great quality toy that should last for ages. I think my pittie is a little intimidated by its size, she hasn't shown much interest yet
I have a 1 year old German Sheprador.. He has located the weakness of ALL his tuffy toys, and that is their webbing that they use. Once he has gotten through that, it is only a matter of time.
The toys themselves are amazing. They hold up well in terms of the fabric getting chewed on, the quilting of the material is a concern as that seems to pop out easily. I don't think that the stitching on that is tight/close enough to really help at all... But I know it is to keep the fabric layers together.
The webbing on the toy is where it is a problem. The stitching is too far in, and the stuffing is so much that the stitching is already stressed.
I find myself mainly repairing the webbing on these toys, and then it lasts longer.
I am also at a loss for what this toy is filled with.... It doesn't burn like a type of cotton polyfill.... and the material burns almost like it is a plasticy byproduct. I've tried to look on the site, but it doesn't say.
We by no means allow him to chew without supervision on any toy. And I have already temporarily retired the Shark.... Lobster.... and a tuffy ring until I can restitch the webbing on those toys. At least my Singer Heavy Duty machine is getting it's moneys worth, and with a little bit of work, so do these toys.
