NOT AS TOUCH AS THE RATING Review by Mary

Our golden retriever loved this octopus. She carried it around and slept with it for about 3 months....then just today got ahold of some of the string I think and chewed a hole and pulled out the satin lining and the white plastic inside. We had bought it in January. We also bought a Ultimate Flyer and so far it has lasted.

Lasted 15 minutes Review by Travis

My 7 month old Weimaraner took 15 minutes to take apart the top of this toy. The weak point is the cloth "loop" at the top of the head that is used to display this toy in a store. My dog ripped it off and got to the fluff in no time at all. The entire toy is not in segmented sections, but one whole piece. Thus, once your dog gets one spot open the whole toy is compromised. I was so excited when the Mega Pete Octopus arrived I didn't want to got to work! The first thing I did when I got home was rip open the box. I knew my dogs would like it but they actually LOVE it!!!!! What a great toy. It's tough enough to withstand the territorial fighting and live to be played with another day. It' is larger than what I expected making it a bargain (I'm a New England Yankee) and worth every penny. I love your toys and can't to buy more. Thanks from Jackson and Jesse! (Posted on 3/23/11)
TOO much fun with 8 squeakers Review by Laurie

Ironically the Jr. Log which has a 6 or so chomp rating is lasting far longer than Mega Oscar which had a 10 out of 10 chomp rating. While our Jack Russell/Beagle/Rat Terrier found his 8 squeakers positively addictive, it actually made her more obsessed with "killing" him and after giving up on the tentacles, she went for his head where all the seams meet up and put a hole in him. On the other hand, so looooves the Junior Log made by the same company and like to toss and carry it around, so I would suggest assessing your dog's play type in choosing toys--I just ordered the tug-o-war as a replacement and will be avoiding the animal shaped/many-seamed toys from now on. Thanks to Dog Tuff for the Tuff Guarantee! (Posted on 1/2/11)

Never has my Hydie gone so insane over any toy before, She absolutely loved this. Unfortunately due to this insane behavior Pete was gone in less than 3 days. I've purchased him again as I think we can have loads of fun tugging and chasing around in the back yard! (Posted on 8/25/10)

Similar to the 11 mo samoyed experience. My 13 mo chocolate lab had one tentacle opened up in about 10/15 minutes and had started with a second tentacle. Oh well, maybe when he's older, maybe like 5! (Posted on 7/10/10)

Not Mega quality Review by Lisahylee
My 11 month Samoyed puppy ripped the top of the head and pulled the bagged stuffing out in less than 10 minutes. He did the same with the Mega creature in less than a minute. I would only recommend the Mega Ring, Mega Gear, Mega Oddball and Mega Square as he's had these for several months. (Posted on 6/20/10)
