Tuffy Dog Toys - Sea Creatures Series Construction:
Multiple Layers Tuffy Dog Toys are the most durable toys available. This dog toy is made with one layer of soft fleece, one layer of industrial grade luggage material and one layer of plastic coating in the center. All three layers are sewn together to make one "Tuff" layer.
Sewn Multiple Times Most dog toys have just one seam to hold the toy together. Tuffy Dog Toys sew webbing around the edges of the toy and then sew the edges together to make each toy Tuff.
Squeaker Safety Pockets Squeakers are sewn into pouches as an added layer of safety.
These toys are machine washable (air dry) and float.
**Tuffy Dog Toys are designed to be play toys NOT chew toys. No part of any dog toy should be ingested. Injury may result. Always be present when your dog is engaged/playing with ANY toy**
So far so good our Alaskan Malamute has had at its good friend Larry the Lobster for about a good week now and hasnt left hardly a mark on his tough shell it mighy not seem that long but the crazy critter foxes only lasted a few minutes. (Posted on 5/16/12)
Two lab puppies ripped the small feet off, then got into the tail and ripped all the stuffing out. Completely shredded it to pieces in about 2 hours. (Posted on 3/12/12)
My dog (cattle dog/lab mix) received this as a Christmas gift. She had stuffing out in about an hour. Three weeks later, all the stuffing is out, but she still drags it around with her and tugs with it. (Posted on 1/14/12)
Our girl Ceilidh is a serious chewer. Until we discovered Larry & his lizard pal, the only toys she and her brother, Angus, could keep for more than an hour were Kongs. EVERYTHING plush was destroyed. Bought these on a whim from a pet store that was closing and had a smoking price, otherwise we'd probably not have tried them. But TWO YEARS later, here I am, looking for more of them! Not that the old ones are worn out, but because they like them so much that we wanna give them more. (Posted on 10/12/11)
Larry's a hit in our house not an every day choice but he's been around for over a year now and is still looking good, all his parts are still in tact! He is a shared toy between two german shepherds.... (Posted on 10/8/11)
I bought Larry for my brother's pit bull puppy. I had high hopes that Larry would survive a few weeks. Unfortunately, after only a few minutes of playing, Sweet Dee managed to rip off Larry's nose and pull out all the stuffing. As another reviewer had mentioned, although the stuffing is out, Larry's meatless body remains intact. Still a cute toy!! (Posted on 9/26/11)
Love the look of Larry the Lobster but our Cane Corsos had two of his little legs chewed off within 15 minutes and the stuffing out within an hour. They now enjoy his mostly empty body. I will admit that they have tried to chew the eyes off/out but have not succeeded. I am STILL hunting for a toy that will last longer than a few hours :) (Posted on 9/23/11)
Took Maxie about 2 weeks to "truly" destroy Larry, having said that he is still obsessed with the shell of the toys. Loves whipping it and by far is still his favorite. (Posted on 9/5/11)
Our 1 and 1/2 year old girl is part pit bull and the part that is pit bull must be her mouth. Until we discovered these products, Abby would destroy every toy within hours. Ultimately her toy box was a collection of embarrassing rags. She loves Larry the Lobster and often selects him to take to bed. She enjoys chewing on his legs and after 3 months he is still in perfect condition. It's fun to watch her whip him around and now we are proud of our toy box. (Posted on 1/30/11)
